Do I need to book tickets from Big Island to Kauai in advance? My wife and I are going to Hawaii in October. We are going to fly into Kona and out of Kauai. We will need a flight from KOA to LIH in between. Do we need to book that now or will prices stay low to book when we get there? Thanks

Which island to visit in Hawaii -- Maui or Kauai? We're thinking of going to Hawaii, but we'll only have 2 days to spend there, so we must choose 1 island. We've narrowed it down to Maui and Kauai. My husband has already been to the big island. I've never been to Hawaii. I'm interested in Hawaiian culture, food, and beaches. I'd like to see some hula dancing, local arts, and maybe go to a luau. I'd also like to visit a nice tropical beach that isn't crowded or dirty. My husband is interested in views and would like to go hiking up a mountain. Both of us are fairly athletic, so we'd be open to trying most outdoor activities. Neither of us is interested in bars or partying, but we wouldn't mind a few pina coladas. The Kauai flight will give us the most time in Hawaii, but I'm wondering if Kauai will have the hula dancers, the luau, etc. because I've heard it's less popular with tourists. If we went to Maui we'd have a little less time to spend, but I thought we might also be able to visit Molokai. Any feedback is appreciated!

I am visiting Maui and Kauai In November. Would it be possible for me to travel to Pearl Harbor.? The flight I have schedule is stopping in Honolulu. I was wondering if there would be a place at the airport where I can leave my luggage instead of renting a car. Also, I've heard that flights between islands are cheap however, all the flights I find are about 120 dollars one way. Is that was people consider inexpensive or are there cheaper options?

Booking domestic flight from abroad? Hi everbody, does anyone know if i can take a reservation through priceline.com from germany? I can't get any informations from them. I need a domestic flight from Honolulu to Kauai and back. Or does anyone have a another suggestion? I have also tried it via Hawaiian Airlines but they don't take reservations from germany. Hawaii honeymoon planning help? I'm planning a honeymoon in May for 8-10 days to two of these three islands(still not decided): Oahu, Maui, Kauai. What is the best way to plan this trip? Should I go through some travel agency or plan the trip details myself (booking flight,hotel,rental car etc.) ? What's best in terms of affordability and enjoyment? If planning on my own is better then what are some good resources?

How do you go about booking your own trip to Hawaii? We'd love to stay at some of the small bed and breakfast or lodge areas we've researched, but if we go this route we cant use at travel agent since they only deal with the big name places they get kickback from. I dont know how to go about finding deals myself though for flight, transfer to Kauai from Honolulu and finding a car without spending a fortune. Anyone do this themselves have the insight? We would be flying from Chicago - O'Hare. When I went through Expedia and those the flights and car alone was going to be around $2000 - does that seem right? Tips for a Hawaiian Wedding? We are planning a Hawaiian Beach Wedding. Most likely on Kauai 's South Shore. Travel HAWAII? We're going to Hawaii in May, we want to stay in Maui for 4-5 nights (which is the best place, west/central, north or south Maui?). Then flight out to other islands either the Big Island or Kauai for 2-3 days and flight back to Honolulu and stays for a week before flight back to Australia. American Airlines Change fee???? Ok, so I have a summer class at my college and at the end of it my professor and my class go for an 8 day adventure in Hawaii on the island kauai from june-25th to july-2nd. I have a friend that lives on that island and I’m looking at staying an extra week. Unfortunately my professor said the travel agent that put the flights together said that American won't re-ticket me out of the group for more than a three day difference. Also, that if I get re-ticketed, I lose my spot on the class flight there which is completely full. She also said that the best thing to do is to stay with this ticket and then rebook a return ticket when I get to Lihue on whatever date I want to return (which is July 11th) and pay the change fee. 1. What would this change fee be? 2. DO you think this is the best way to get this to work out so I can stay an extra week?

Planning vacation days in Hawaii...? We are going to Hawaii for 10 days! The first 6 days will be spent in Maui. This leaves us with 4 whole days, and our flight will depart from Oahu. I need an opinion... Would we best benefit from spending all 4 days in Oahu? Would it even be worth it to break it up and take 2 days at Kauai (or Big Island) and then 2 in Oahu? Just curious if it's silly to try to get something out of 2 days here and 2 days there. Thanks!
