What is a better hotel to stay @ in Kauai, Hawaii?..The Marriot?...or the Hilton?
Public Comments
- the Hilton.
- Stay at the Princeville Hotel...it's the best one on the island.
- The best hotel on the Island is the Hyatt. It's pricey, but worth it. They treat their employees very well, so you'll always get the best service, and they tailor your stay to you. If you have special needs, they will happily accommodate you. Don't stay at the Hilton, they discriminate (I USED TO WORK THERE! THE ONE ON KAUAI!) and the service has really gone downhill. Nobody there cares anymore because they treat their employees so bad. IF you're thinking of staying there because it's right on the beach, don't bother, you can't swim in the beach they're on, it's all reef. Don't stay in Princeville either, they're stuck up and also discriminate. It looks like a nice place, but really it sucks. Plus you'll be so far away from everywhere else. The Marriott on Kalapaki is also a good choice. It's a bit cheaper than the Hyatt, but you' get good service and it has a good location, on the south east side of the island so you won't be too far away from anything. It's close to the airport (about 1 mile) right on a beach you can actually swim at, and close to shopping, so if you're not getting a car you'll still have lots to do.
- The Hilton is not in the best posistion on the island and the Marriot overlooks a harbour ( which they dont show you on photos cos you wouldnt go there). We stayed at the Sheraton Kauai Resort in Poipu. Its stunning, right on a beach with a beach front pool. I looked at the Hyatt but thought it way too expensive compared to this gem of a hotel. One other option for you is to rent a house or a condo. This way you will get a lot more for your money and may end up with a beach house with the ocean as your back yard. Check out website below.
- I like the Hyatt but if I had to choose one it would be the Marriott (which use to be a Hilton).
