Can someone recommend a cheap hotel close to the Honolulu airport?
I just need to stay one night before I fly out to Kauai.

- The Best Western Plaza is just outside the airport area. I've gone past it many times and knew a few folks who stayed there. The Ohana Hotel location I'm not totally familiar with, but the map shows it as being very close to the airport as well.
- Checkout this website for full details http://www.hawaii-vacation-hotels.us Good Luck!!
- During my last trip I came across a website called http://www.cheaphotel-s.com . It has quite a large variety of hotels. You might wanna give it a try.
- Hi there.. you can try Ohana Honolulu Airport Hotel, they have got free airport shuttle. :)
- the three closest are Castle Pacific Marina Inn Airport Hotel, Ohana Honolulu Airport Hotel, and Best Western The Plaza Hotel. and for a great deal check out http://www.travelcusehotels.com. the site is an aggregator which means it searches other sites and presents you with the best deals available. hope this helps!
- There are two Best Westerns near the airport, both aren't exactly cheap, and one looks kinda seedy, but they're convenient if you want to stay near the airport. There is also the "Rain Tree". One in the airport itself and one off of Nimitz Highway. The one at the airport is great if you're only staying one night, but the one off of Nimitz is not all that appealing. There are alot of "long term" guests there of questionable background, and its not very secure. There are a couple of places in town or in Waikiki that aren't too costly (Between $65 and $85 a night depending on the time of year), but then you lose the convenience of being near the airport, and a cab ride will run you close to $50 each way. If you have military privileges, you can stay at the lodges at either Hickam AFB, Fort Shafter or the Fisher House on the TAMC (Tripler) grounds. I highly recommend the Fisher House.. built around WWII.. it has alot of the old airy feeling of hotels in that era. Its beautifully landscaped, and the rooms are quite nice. Being near the airport isn't all its cracked up to be. Few if any real decent restaurants in the area, and the area isn't entirely visitor friendly. Its more of a business district, and the few places that are open at night you wouldn't want to bring your mom or your kids into.. if you know what I mean.
