Kauai Fun Vacations
maui or kauai?
which would you recommend for a young couple to stay? I have lived in Hawaii on Oahu and have been to Maui and the Big Island, my boyfriend has never been to Hawaii. So I was thinking of staying on either Maui or Kauai but which one? We will be spending the last 3 days of our trip on Oahu, so I would like to stay somewhere that isn't very packed with tourists. We want great beautiful sunny weather, nice waterfalls and nice natural places to see. Maybe even do a tour. As far as hotel goes, we want a cheap place to stay! we are just sleeping so no need for luxury. So which island would be best and which would be the nicest, safest, town to stay in with the cheapest hotel?

- I recommend Maui. but buy a room online because much cheaper,bring $3000. It is safe there but kauai it's not packed.
- If you don't want tourists, go to Kauai. It's my favorite island:) Absolutely gorgeous! .... Some parts of Maui are as crowded and built up with hotels, it seems, as Honolulu (well, not that bad - but still too built up and commercial)
- Everything you want tells me you would be happiest in Kauai. It is far less crowded than Maui. In Kauai, they can't build anything taller then a palm tree, so no high rises. it is the one island where a lot of tropical movies and TV shows are filmed because of the lushness. Maui is beautiful too, but it gets pretty crowded.
- Maui,4 sure. Stay @ the Westin Maui Resort and Spa. It is known for its quite beaches, gorgeous spas and everything. There is shopping 2 Blocks from the hotel. I have stayed there so many times, everybody knows my name. You receive a lai when you arive. The staff are excellent. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
