Do I need to book tickets from Big Island to Kauai in advance?
My wife and I are going to Hawaii in October. We are going to fly into Kona and out of Kauai. We will need a flight from KOA to LIH in between. Do we need to book that now or will prices stay low to book when we get there? Thanks

- First off, overall prices may go up anyway, for fuel cost reasons. So what I would recommend is buying on travelocity.com which has a guarantee, if the prices go down, you will get a refund for the difference...plus. In general: Prices are usually cheaper in advances. For special pricing it is 7-14 days in advance, on some routes it is just 3 days, others there is little difference. What I usually do is try the route for tomorrow, next week and two weeks from now to see how they differ and where the cut off for cheap fares is.
- I would talk to a travel agent and see what the skinny is. When I was in Maui- I didn't end up traveling to any of the other islands because it was too expensive to do so without having booked flights ahead of time. Hope that helps.
- no,you have to book ticket in advance
- Usually you can save a lot if you book a package. air , rental car, and motel and any excursions you want in advance. Also specific dates lets you plan ahead.
