Kauai Fun Vacations
where can i get the cheapest flights to hawaii?
I am hoping to go to maui or kauai within the next month but I am on a tight budget. I would be leaving from phoenix or southern california. Any ideas on how and where to get a really cheap flight (and hotel)

- do stand by (taking the extra seats on the flight) you can buy stand by tickets where everyone gets rid of their luggage and then just wait for a spot to open up on a plane to where youre going.

- check out ATA flying out of Ontario, CA I went there in June of 07 and thought they were pretty cheap. As far as Island hopping goes, book those flights seperatley through Aloha Airlines. Last June it was only $24 from island to island. Good luck and have fun!

- If you can fly from CA, try looking at Aloha Air and Hawaiian Air's websites. Both run direct flights from CA to Hawaii and often offer good rates. For a bargain on a place to stay, search for a condo on VRBO. Maui has a lot of condos, and many owners offer discounts on unrented units close to your travel date. They would rather get something, than have their place sit empty. Do a little research on both islands to determine what area you'd like.
